We are not our past. Biography is not destiny. the past does not equal the future. – Tony Robbins
Each of us have different paths that have lead us to the place we are now, we’ve made choices that move us away from the bad choices in our path.
We each have strong motivation to make the world a different place. Small slice of the world or a big one. A better place or a bad place. All take a strong motivation to see them through.
One of the best examples of that is our President Elect Barack Obama. He grew up without a father and made some bad choices along the way. He admits these choices were his “greatest moral failing”.
He didn’t accept that as his destiny however, but changed his path, worked hard, found his motivation. To make the world a better place for people and now for Americans. He continues on that path with change.gov.
We can’t all become the President-Elect of the United States but we all have an opportunity to realize our destination in life. The map that leads us there takes focus that sets us on the path we choose, the determination to reach the points on the path.
Sometimes we stray from that path. Sometimes we stray big. Ultimately if we’re focused on reaching the destination, we’ll realize quickly we’re off the path and find our way back. (My friend Kelle and I had a discussion about this.)
This has been on my mind since yesterday. I’m pondering it all.
The most important question to ask yourself is what motivates you to reach your destination? What is your focus? What are you doing every day to reach that destination?

Very good post, Chel. What I'm I doing, I just try to stay positive and look at the good things in life :)
