Cassandra, I really couldn't figure that out about Gmail at first. I really wanted to delete things. Now I *need* to save emails for information purpose but get them out of my inbox. I also dislike using a Mail client to read my mail now. When I first used Gmail I never thought I could give up Mail for Gmail. Now it's the other way around!

Great tips, especially regarding Gmail. Almost everyone uses Gmail now, but I don't think most realize how powerful and useful it can be at keeping our e-mail neat and organized - they just delete everything like they used to in Hotmail. It's not necessary. Unless it's an automatically generated message or update, I keep almost everything and I often find myself going back to find it.
